Black Fjord Derby
This style has been handmade in Agra, India by a family owned and operated factory. They have been in business for over 60 years and specialise in making shoes for the European market. We visit the factory two to three times a year to see our products being made, to assess working conditions, source materials and learn new techniques. Each design is tested at Elk HQ where the shoes are worn for a period to consider comfort, wear and style. The leather upper is made using EU REACH standards and is a bi product from the meat industry.
Size & Fit
This style is a true to size fit in length however as it features a pointed toe it does fit a little more narrowly. The soft leather will stretch quickly and mould to your feet and overall they are very comfortable.

These leather Derby shoes should be sprayed (the silver style only) with a waterproofing spray prior to use. They should be carefully cleaned and conditioned with a neutral cream polish. Apply with a soft cloth and gently rub into dry or scuffed areas. The sole of these shoes have been made with rubber for ultimate durability. Leather is a natural material and will age with wear. It is imperative that you avoid wetting or soaking these shoes in water as this will greatly affect the quality and appearance.
